Resume

Liqiong Guo, PhD serves as the Occupational & Environmental Health department lecture in Tianjin Medical University. As an epigenetic and environmental health researcher, Dr. Guo’s research explores epigenetic and molecular mechanisms as potential functional pathways linking exposures to environmental pollutants to human disease. Her laboratory research activities are specifically focused on epigenetics, mitochondriomics, and computational epigenomics. Dr. Guo is currently the PI of National Natural Science of China project.Recent and ongoing projects investigate health effects from environmental exposures, including particulate air pollution, metals, Bisphenol A, and common risk factors, such as environmental noise, second-hand smoking, and maternal diet and metabolic alterations. Dr. Guo’s research team has been conducting studies on the Tianjin population (ELEFANT Project-- The project Environmental and LifEstyle FActors iN metabolic health throughout life-course Trajectories, around 140,000 participants) which involved many brilliant scientists from China, Italy, UK, U.S., Spain and other countries.
