March is the season for Lei Feng's spirit to blow through every corner of the campus. At the beginning of the month, the School of Optometry made a general mobilization of Learning Lei Feng Activity. All students responded positively, starting with the little things around them and helping others around them. The classmates got exercised during the activity and grew up in the exercise. Lei Feng's spirit brushed the innocence of classmates like a spring breeze, sowing the seeds of dedication and help.

The 16.1 league branch of the School of Optometry launched the Learn from Lei Feng spirit, Environmental Protection Starts with Me activity from March 4th to March 6th. The activities are mainly from the aspects of water saving and low-carbon travel, and are carried out in dormitories. Among them, 412, 419 dormitories carried out finding  taps not closed activities, and 410, 524, 526 dormitories carried out low-carbon travel activities.

Through this activity, the members deeply realized that the spirit of Lei Feng is not far away from us. Every tiny thing in life has its shadow. To learn the spirit of Lei Feng, we must start with small things and start with me.

On March 5, 2019, all the members in Class2 Grade2016 Youth League branch of the School of Optometry participated in the voluntary service practice activity of Learning from Lei Feng's spirit with the theme of saving water and protecting water. Cleaning water and green mountains are golden and silver. Water resources are extremely precious to us. However, in the daily life of many students, there are some phenomena of wasting water resources. We took the dormitory as the unit and designed 5 editions of water-saving and water-protection posters. After photocopying, we distributed them on campus and introduced the common sense of water-saving and water-protection in daily life. Volunteer youth · Travel with the country, as volunteers, we also gained a sense of honor and belonging while serving.

Class1 Grade 2017 classmates helped senior citizens do eye care and show talent performances in Tianjin Shengshi Nursing Home. Two weeks before the event, each member of our group branch has started preparing the content of the day's speech and performance, and communicated with their parents to understand the elderly's psychology and dietary preferences in advance.

On the day of the event, we prepared cooked peanuts, milk and bananas for the elderly. The five aspects of presbyopia formation and treatment, the selection and maintenance of glasses, and the use of eye drops are explained. Later, my branch presented solo female singers Four Seasons Songs and Shanghai Night, male choruses and group performances. During the period, grandparents would ask them to complete the performance with us when they heard the familiar songs.

At 4:30 in the afternoon, our volunteer activities came to an end. After helping the elderly to return to the room and organize the living room, the classmates returned to school with this unforgettable memory. They can help others learn what they have learned. The classmates were all excited.

Students of Class2 Grade2017 went to Tianjin Metropolis Tianhui Yayuan for community volunteer service on March 5.

The theme of our volunteer service this time is Healers of the Doctors. The main content includes measuring blood pressure and cleaning glasses for the residents of the community. Residents have come to respond positively to our volunteer service and encourage this selfless dedication. During the activity, the students carefully measured their blood pressure and carefully cleaned their glasses. The activity demonstrated the good spirit of medical college students and inherited the true spirit of Lei Feng.

All the problems can be solved, and all the interfering factors are not the reason to stop us. This time, we have learned a lot. We have learned medical skills, learned to calm down when facing patients, learned to communicate with others, and most importantly, we have learned to give.

March is a season full of young. The Youth League branch of Class1 Grade2018 of Optometry organized the members to perform volunteer service activities at the Heping District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Tianjin.

On Saturday and Sunday, we organized two groups of students so that everyone can participate better. According to the instructions of the League branch, we wore white coats and a regimental emblem, and provided guidance services in a Chinese hospital. Since it is a weekend, the hospital does not have too many people, but we are still actively participating and using our own strength to interpret the meaning of a harmonious society.

Through this activity, the members of our group understood the importance of volunteer service,  at the same time we also enhanced the social influence of our youth volunteer service and our sense of honor and belonging, promoted the core values of socialism among our members.

The Leifeng Learning Day is coming. Class 2 Grade2018 has formulated a program of learning about Leifeng with the theme of cultural propaganda according to the class situation. In the early morning of March 5th, the students came to Shichangli community for volunteer service activities.

In the preparation phase of the activity, the classmates carefully produced a brochure about vision protection. There are two types of brochures, one is Curiosity Daily, a little knowledge of myopia prevention and control for children, and the other is Four-step method to reduce vision decline for the elderly. In the community, the students grouped to distribute manuals, and introduced the purpose of the event and the small knowledge in the brochure to the residents in the community. Many residents gave us a thumbs up after listening. In order to create a beautiful and clean community environment, we also carried out sanitation cleaning activities in the community. Seeing the clean and tidy community, the students are very proud.

Lei Feng is a name and a spirit. His behavior made us remember him all the time, and his dedication made us learn him all the time.

Each year's Lei Feng learning activity will give us a new level of understanding of the Lei Feng Spirit, and this year is no exception.
