Zhang Hongmei, Lecturer/ Physician, Doctor of Medicine, Head of basic teaching and research office of School of Optometry, Tianjin Medical University. Member of Chinese Ophthalmological society, Senior member of International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE). She is also a visiting scholar of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a candidate of the fifth Chinese ophthalmology and optometry talents training program -- Rising Stars, a candidate of the first Excellent Teacher of Tianjin Medical University, and a candidate of the third level of Tianjin 131 innovative talents training project.

She is mainly responsible for teaching optometry in Tianjin Medical University and Clinical Medical College of Tianjin Medical University, as well as diagnosing and treating diseases in optometry center of Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital (TMUEH), coordinating the operation of clinical trials of optometry center.

Her main research fields include: diagnose and treat of refractive error, prevent and control of myopia in adolescents, fit corneal contact lens and complications. She presided over and participated in the completion of a number of provincial and municipal projects in Tianjin and published many papers in domestic and foreign journals. She guided undergraduate students of Tianjin Medical University to carry out innovation projects, and was awarded as Excellent Instructor. From 2016 to 2019, she conducted a series of eye health surveys and knowledge popularization activities among college students in Tianjin.
