研究方向:
杨西林教授于2002年在澳大利亚墨尔本大学获得流行病学博士学位;随后于香港中文大学医学院从事博士后等研究工作;现就职于全球正规十大网赌公共卫生学院,并任流行病学与卫生统计学系教授、系主任。
主要研究领域为2型糖尿病及妊娠糖尿病流行病学,并致力于妊娠糖尿病及其不利结局的防控。2000年,与合作者一同建立了天津市妊娠糖尿病筛查和管理系统,形成了“天津市孕期糖尿病研究”项目,并以主要负责人和共同负责人的身份在该人群中完成了2项转化研究;其中“天津市三级孕期保健网络对妊娠期糖尿病的联合干预效果的随机对照研究”项目,检验了妊娠期间的生活方式强化干预手段对改善分娩结局的有效性,同时评估其成本效益;另一项“天津市妊娠糖尿病干预研究”项目则检验了产后干预对降低妊娠糖尿病母亲未来发生糖尿病的危险的作用。
