Diagnostics is one of the required and main courses for undergraduates of medical colleges and universities. It’s not only a key of learning clinical medicine but also a very important subject connecting the basic medicine and clinical medicine. It’s a branch of learning about diagnostic procedures including history taking, physical examination, laboratory test, and assistant examination using basic medical theory, knowledge and skills.
The diagnostics department now containstwo separate parts including clinical college part and the part of the university as a result of integrating with teaching and researching resources of clinical college. Professor Fu Rong of the first clinical college is the director of the diagnostics department. Associate directors includeLv Xing of the first clinical college, Liu Xiangli of the second clinical college, Yang Yankai of the third central hospital, and Zhang Tianan of the school of basic medical science of the university.
